Ms. Odell has over seven years of experience in wildlife biology and management, including CEQA documentation and consultation. The majority of her research and professional experience has taken place in Central Valley wetlands, grasslands and agricultural areas. She is also skilled in and familiar with the flora and fauna of the Sierra Nevada, foothills, and the Northern and Central California Coast. She has multi-taxonomic field skills and knowledge, including surveys for plants, game, non-game and special status species, holds a Scientific Collecting Permit (California Department of Fish and Game), and is permitted to independently handle the California tiger salamander (U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service). In particular, she has a great deal of experience monitoring and surveying avian species, with a focus on wetlands and their management. Ms. Odell has held positions with multiple agencies such as CDFG, the National Park Service, and U.S. Geological Survey. Additionally, she has actively coordinated surveys and reports with federal (Bureau of Reclamation, USFWS), state (Department of Water Resources, CDFG, State Water Quality Control Board), and local agencies (school districts, water districts, cities, counties), as well as private land owners. At CCCI, she has experience in project management, including staff supervision, project design, coordination, data analysis, and the reporting and presentation of results.
