Andrea Price graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a B.S. in Psychology and the Biological Sciences in December 2007. She focused on behavior while at CMU, becoming a teaching assistant in Psychology, but has since become interested in field biology and herpetology. The summer before she graduated from CMU, Andrea interned at the Henderson, NV office of the U.S. Geological Survey Western Ecological Research Center. Her involvement in the field work for the various ongoing conservation projects has exposed her to herpetofauna survey and monitoring techniques and lent her a familiarity with Mojave Desert flora and fauna. After returning from CMU, her interests carried her to a volunteer position at the U.C. Berkeley Museum of Vertebrate Zoology where she was trained in basic curatorial methods for herpetofauna. Her current position at Condor Country Consulting involves construction site monitoring and California tiger salamander (Ambystoma californiense) monitoring. |
